It had to happen. I have moved from London. I am now in Brighton - 'London's slutty sister' as someone has described the town. It is a lively, energetic place with interesting stuff happening.
I have taken to Instagram as barryejsmithartist and Twitter as @barryejsmithart

Noir in London
Noir in London
I have had great pleasure assembling all the work I've done around the theme of noir - etchings of moody dames & cigarette smoke; linocuts of stills of imaginary black and white movies, illustration to detective stories and black and white photographs of cheap neighbourhoods. What happens next....You can see it all at http://www.barrysmithwork.co.uk/noir

News from Hackney
Well, it's not news now. Got off the train at Hackney Central to find my way blocked by a row of HMs finest, telling me I couldn't go down into Mare Street because of a little local disturbance. I found out about it all by following the crowd and their mobes inspecting the riot scene. I caught up with it all (as we all did) later.
